Oulton Park constructs new spectator banking area

Thursday, March 03 2011

Visitors to Oulton Park can enjoy enhanced viewing facilities in 2011, as the circuit has installed a new spectator bank at Lodge Corner.

The raised banking area is 100 metres long and offers motorsport fans an elevated view of the circuit's final turn, which backs onto the remains of Oulton Hall's iconic entrance lodge.

"We are very excited about the new spectator bank at Lodge Corner, as it has always been a desire of ours to provide spectators with improved viewing at our final corner," enthused Oulton Park circuit manager Simon Bonser. "Lodge is synonymous with last lap lunges and exciting overtaking moves, so we hope this new bank will become an extremely popular viewing area with our spectators."

The new banking at Lodge is part of a continued effort by circuit owners MotorSport Vision to provide visitors with improved spectator facilities, following on from the creation of a viewing area at Britten's Hairpin ahead of the 2010 season.

Oulton Park fans will host its first event of the 2011 season, the inaugural Masters Historic Festival and Top Hat Raceday, this Saturday (12 March).

Tickets for the Masters Historic Festival and Top Hat Raceday at Oulton Park on Saturday 12 March cost £12 in advance for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click on the link below.
